Endomorphin medicine influenced on the same receptors, as morphine. Study has shown: the preparation relieved the rats from pain for a long time, practically without slowing down their breath. Besides, coordination of movements at experimental animals after morphine strongly worsened. But it didn’t happen with endomorphin.
Also specialists have found: new preparation practically did not cause the addiction. According to scientists, morphine activates glial cells of spinal cord as a result it could be a reason for development of addiction. Endomorphin does not possess such action. Researchers have made some experiments.
Experimental rats spent more time in compartment where they received morphine. But endomorphin has not been connected with similar behavior. In the second experiment rats actively pressed the lever for more injections of morphine. Animals did not make attempts to receive endomorphin. Specialists hope that clinical tests of new preparation on human will begin in the next two years
