Scientists have found a unique remedy against herpes virus

Specialists from University of Utah have accidentally found an effective remedy against herpes virus of 4th type, also known as "Epstein-Barr virus".

As you known this infection is responsible for development of chronic fatigue syndrome, mononucleosis, lymphoma, carcinomas, herpes, herpes-associated angina, disseminated sclerosis and some other diseases.

According to the scientists Spirolactonum, which is usually prescribed in case of chronic cardiac failure, nephrotic syndrome and high blood pressure, effectively suppresses activity of herpes virus. And considering the fact of development of drug resistance in virus, this discovery is very relevant and important.

The experiments have shown that on cells’ cultures Spirolactonum stopped reproduction of virus within the infected cells. However in case of herpes the remedy showed toxic properties and it testifies the potential danger of its use for a person with Epstein-Barr virus. Now scientists are going to create a safety analog of Spirolactonum.
