On May 12, 2011 on the base of Donetsk National Medical University named after M. Gorky

here was held an annual All-Ukrainian scientific and practical conference with international participation “Modern health activities of diagnostics and treatment in dermatovenereology”.

The program of the conference embraced urgent aspects of modern dermatovenereology: diagnostics and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases, modern principles of allergic dermatitis treatment, innovation approaches in alopecia treatment, viral diseases of skin and urogenital system, the place of immunocorrection in dermatovenereology, etc. 

Director of the Institute of Dermatology and Venereology of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of medical sciences, Professor Gennadiy Ivanovich Mavrov addressed the organizers and participants of the conference with his welcoming speech.  

Reports made by the Head of the Dermatovenereology department of Donetsk National Medical University named after M. Gorky, Doctor of medical sciences, Professor Yuriy Fedorovich Ayzyatulov dedicated to modern aspect of treatment of allergic dermatosis, viral skin diseases and sexually transmitted infections were interesting and instructive. Yuriy Fedorovich paid special attention to the use of antibacterial preparations for treatment of urogenital infections, in particular to a modern preparation of fluoroquinolone group of the IV generation, Galatilin (Gatifloxacin). Galatilin has an extremely broad spectrum of antibacterial action (Gr (+), Gr (-), anaerobic, atypical microorganisms), high bioavailability in case of oral use (96%); it has a long half-life period (up to 14 hours), which enables to recommend its administration once a day. Galatilin has established a reputation for highly effective, safe and affordable preparation for treatment of sexually transmitted infections.

An important problem of the treatment of urogenital tract mixed infection was the topic of the report made by the Chief Doctor of the Regional dermatovenerologic dispensary of Donetsk region, Candidate of medical sciences Vadim Viktorovich Yukhimenko. The report dealt with the issue of antibiotic therapy in case of urogenital mixed infections, in particular the use of antibacterial preparation belonging to macrolide group Aziclar (clarithromycin), as well as possibilities of its combinations with fluoroquinolones. As V.V. Yukhimenko noted, Aziclar demonstrated evident effectiveness against most frequent “atypical” causative agents of sexually transmitted infections (clamydia, mycoplasms, and ureaplasms) and is well tolerated by patients.

Traditionally during the conference there was organized a pharmaceutical exhibition, in which more than 10 pharmaceutical companies took part. Within the scope of this exhibition our Company presented preparations of antibacterial group that are widely used in dermatovenerologic practice, such as: fluoroquinolone of the IV generation Galatilin (Gatifloxacin), preparation from macrolide group Aziclar® (clarithromycin), cephalosporin antibiotic of the ІІІ generation Flamifix (cefixime) and antifungal preparation Itrungar (itraconazole).
