How to recover from a headache?

It is practically impossible to find a person, who never had headache. Headache can impair your life significantly and throw you off the usual track. According to international classification, there are over 100 types of headache; the number of reasons for headache development is much less. The most widespread of them include the following ones: high pressure, migraine, spasm and muscle tension.

High pressure

Even if you do not suffer from essential hypertension, episodical cases of high pressure also can provoke headache. As a rule, the reason for increased pressure is overstrain, stress, air temperature difference, and magnetic storms. In case of high pressure, the headache is often accompanied with fatigue, dizziness and/or noise in the ears.

 Migraine

This disease is characterized by acute pulsing pain, which, as a rule, seizes one half of the head. Often migraine is accompanied by insomnia, nausea, increased sensitivity to sounds, odors and bright light. Predisposing factors of migraine attack development include lack of sleep, agitation, and sometimes — malnutrition.

 Spasmodic pain

It is the most spread type. It is caused due to the spasm of neck or back muscles, and it may be the result of emotional stress (anxiety, agitation, and depression), physical overstrain, staying in stuffy premises or long-lasting work without change of position. In such cases they usually say, that the head is “squeezed as with a band”; the pain does not cease at night and often leads to insomnia.

How to recover from a headache

People, who suffer from a headache, are main consumers of analgetics – universal pain-killers. When the pain becomes unbearable and human working ability is disturbed, it is impossible to care about its reasons, as it is necessary to overcome the headache itself. Due to the fact that the headache is often caused by angiospasm, which appears in response to pain impulse, the most effective means to relieve headache are such combined preparations, as SPASGO®.

Medicinal preparation SPASGO® is a combination of analgetic agent, paracetamol, and spasmolytic, dicyclomine. Paracetamol has analgetic action due to suppression of cyclooxygenase enzyme and leads to decrease in appreciation of pain by pain receptors. Dicyclomine decreases contractive activity of smooth muscles, eliminates spasm, including angiospasm. At the intake of one tablet of SPASGO®, significant decrease in headache intensity appears in twenty minutes.

If the headache has become frequent and unbearable, it is necessary to turn for help to the neurologist.

In what cases it is necessary to turn to the doctor for medical help
